    Cora Pastrana, Raymond Bagatsing’s ‘soul mate?’

    We were reminded that our friend and colleague Cora Pastrana and actor Raymond Bagatsing got married in Los Angeles, California on November  21, 2008. So it would have been their 14th wedding anniversary last November 21, 2022.

    Cora recalled that while their theme song “Somewhere in Time” was being played in the background, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge McKey officiated the intimate ceremony pronouncing them man and wife. Their civil wedding was witnessed by just close kins and friends. “Ninong” was Roman Mosqueda, and “ninangs” were Priscilla Hunt (Hilda K’s mother-in-law) and Arliene Yap.

    As expected, their wedding shocked a lot of people and Cora recalled speculations went wild over it. But there were some who understood their situation, among them Lara Fabregas, who was Raymond’s first wife,  who said that perhaps Raymond has found his “soul mate” in Cora. But for Cora, it was simply marrying the love of her life who had died long ago. Strange but true, Cora said, that her lost love had been reborn in Raymond.

    Anyway, belated anniversary greetings Cora and Raymond.

    Cora came home to Manila when h
