Mortal Kombat 1: Takeda's Bio Explained
Mortal Kombat 1 revolutionized the MK canon with Fire God Liu Kang's new era, completely revising the origins of some kombatants, while tweaking others with shades of their past selves. From lesser-known names such as Tanya and Havik, to franchise pillars like Scorpion and Raiden, developer NetherRealm Studios exercised some remarkable creativity with the new origins for Mortal Kombat 1's roster. This innovation has extended to MK1's DLC fighters as well, with Quan Chi and Ermac differing from their previous depictions, and now the forthcoming Takeda receiving an altered backstory of his own.
Takeda is the last fighter in MK1's first Kombat Pack, and many fans have wondered how he'll figure into this new MK timeline. Quan Chi and Ermac's stories were at least explored in the game's campaign, but save for a brief appearance during MK1's conclusion, Takeda did not play a significant role. Now that he's been revealed, a bio for this version of Takeda provides crucial context for his place in the current MK canon. Similar to his fellow kombatants, the whip-wielding fighter shares some similarities with his previous self, but aspects of his background have changed to suit MK1's storytelling.

Union J were an English boy band, consisting of members JJ Hamblett, Jaymi Hensley, George Shelley and Josh Cuthbert.[2] Shelley left the group in 2016 and was replaced by Casey Johnson, who left several months later,[3][4][1] Cuthbert left the group in 2018 leaving the band as duo until they disbanded in 2019. [5] The band formed in 2011, originally as a trio known as Triple J, consisting of Cuthbert, Hamblett and Hensley. They auditioned for the ninth series of the British television music competition The X Factor where they met Shelley who joined the band at the judges' request. They were the tenth contestant eliminated and were subsequently signed to Sony Music subsidiary RCA Records.[6] Their debut single "Carry You" was released in June 2013. Their self-titled debut studio album followed in October 2013 and peaked at number 6 on the UK Albums Chart.
