    National Awardwinner actress Surabhi Lakshmihas bagged many true-to-life characters in her career and the most recent one is in the upcoming film Thala.
    In the movie, written and directed by Khais Millen, Surabhiplays a slum dweller named Muthulakshmi. Khais tells us, “The film is set in a period before the onset of the pandemic. Her character, like many others in the film, has to face a variety of issues from society, but isn’t in a position to react.She stays in a slum area named New Bharath colony, which was formed in 1947. Muthulakshmi is a very strong character.” The film also has Shalin Zoya, Binoy Antony and Murugan Martin in major roles. Khais says, “Except for a handful of known faces including that of Surabhi, the rest of the cast consists of newbies.”
    The director adds that the movie also has a handful of children as the main characters, though it is in no way a children’s movie. “The production process of this film was four years long, as we had to show everything including the physical growth of the children to present the story in its entirety. More than 90% of the film’s shoot was in Chenkalchoola colony in Thiruvananthapuram. The shoot was wrapped up before the announcement of the lockdown.”

    Sunidhi Chauhan (pronounced [sʊnɪd̪ʱiːʧɔːɦäːn]; born Nidhi Chauhan, 14 August 1983) is an Indian playback singer. Known for her vocal range and versatility,[2] she has recorded songs for films in several Indian languages and received accolades including three Filmfare Awards and a Filmfare Award South .She is often praised for her charismatic stage presence and Vocal belting ability.

    Born in Delhi, she began performing at local gatherings at the age of 5 and made her career debut at the age of 13, with the film Shastra (1996). During the year, she won the first singing reality show titled Meri Awaz Suno and rose to prominence after recording "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi" from Mast (1999). It won her Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent and was nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer. She is known for her versatility as a vocalist.[3]
