There was a time when no party started without a Honey Singhsong and no DJ dared to wrap up his gig without blasting some Yo Yo hits for those standing last on the dance floor. Singh, born as Hirdesh in a small Punjabi town, stood out in a galaxy full of Independent music artistes in the last decade and was instrumental in reviving mainstream pop genre single-handedly.
